Three female heads balance precariously atop a pair of high-heeled shoes, each face deliberately obscured—eyes covered, ears blocked, mouth silenced by sculpted arms and hands. Drawing from the “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil” motif, this work reclaims the symbol to confront the silencing of women through objectification and societal control. The heels—emblems of enforced femininity—act as a fragile pedestal for the burden of silence. Across the surface of the sculpture, delicate yet defiant tattoo-like engravings spread over the form: feminist slogans, resistance symbols, and words of empowerment disrupt the imposed quiet. These markings serve as a silent protest—a visual voice rising from within constraint. In this piece, the female form may be bound, but it is not voiceless. “The Weight of Silence” challenges viewers to see what society tries to hide: the cost of beauty, the pain of erasure, and the power of resistance etched into every surface.
